DESCRIPTION and FEATURESThe First Time model is the brainchild of RYD Ambassador, Caio Ibelli. When not competing on the WSL Championship Tour and getting under the skin of a certain Brazilian world champion or cooking up a storm at Ibelli Burgers - Caio likes to take long walks on beach, cuddle fluffy puppies and... and surf twin fins. Type: SurfboardThis little number is based off the first board Caio ever shaped. It features a cheeky swallowtail with pronounced winger that helps the rail transition into the narrow tail area, giving the board extra drive and more precision through your turns. The single concave under the front foot, into double concave leading into the fin area will ensure you can ride this board in an array of conditions. Caio has surfed it with maximum enjoyment from small beach breaks in Brazil, to fun Backdoor Pipe and Off the Wall in Hawaii! The First Time is available in three sizes: 5’2 (26.3L), 5’7 (31.8L) and 5’9 (34.3L). The board comes out the box with a set of small, rigid plastic fins, but we recommend either the RYD fiber glass Road Movie* or the Honey Comb Hank Dude* as the perfect partners for this board. *Coming April ’21.This board feels amazing under the arm, its superlight and the refined rails and quality finish make it feel like a real surfboard. We think everyone should have a twin fin in their quiver, and we might be biased, but this is a great place to start!

With a shape that’s more today than yesterday, our modern “fish” design is built for speed. Excelling in chest to overhead high waves, it performs on those hollow, glassy days, yet enjoys mushy, sloppy and less than perfect conditions too. Comprised of a full nose and wide mid, with clean balanced curves that blend into a swallow tail. The bottom contours through single to double concave with a lightly flipped nose. Tune to your taste with Tri-Quad option. 6’3 x 20 1/2” x 2 1/2” 36 ltr 45-75 kg / 99-165 lbs
6’6 x 21” x 2 5/8” 39.6 ltr 55-85 kg / 121-187 lbs he ModFish perfectly bridges the gap between a midlength and shortboard. The overall stability and feel is reassuring. Fishes are wide with a full nose, creating fast paddling and stability – great for catching waves and generating speed on the wave. When ridden shorter than a midlength they offer much better manouverability. The tail plan shape and double concave allow tighter turning for vertical surfing and cutbacks into the pocket. The ModFish is a great in most types of waves and conditions, from knee high to overhead and clean to messy. Built in TET construction, these are extremely strong and durable, designed to withstand impacts in and out of the water, while still being light and easily handled.

This board is a great wave catcher - the outline has width and stability under your chest with a medium full nose for easy paddling. Plus the low to medium nose rocker helps paddling speed, stops nose diving and allows good glide on small or weak waves. As the surf jumps up, step back and the board transforms. You’ll find a board that feels shorter than it’s length, thanks to the pulled in tail and vee running from the centre out through the fins. Built in TET construction, these are extremely strong and durable, designed to withstand impacts in and out of the water, while still being light and easily handled.

9’2 x 23” x 3 1/8” - 77.2 ltr “fter a few years of testing we've found the formula for a board I can use in small conditions and cruise focusing on classic style longboarding but also working in descent waves allowing to do amazing nose rides in critical parts of the waves. That board is also super solid and I can travel with no worries about it being broken. Edouard Delpero Alain Minvielle has extensive shaping experience in California and a fine appreciation for the flow and glide of the classic style. With Edouard’s input they have created a Classic shape inspired by the classic 60’s model of Longboarding (no edge) while adding some more modern bottom line to find the perfect cruiser with surprising manœuvrability. The critical part of this design is in the rocker and volume distribution - the curve of the rocker will allow you to maintain noserides in the pocket while gliding in small conditions as much as in larger waves. Finally the unique distribution of volume through the board, from a thick nose to a thin tail, will allow you to cross step with grace and turn with ease.
5’10 x 20 7/8” x 2 5/8” - 35.7 ltr In 2000 the original Pod rapidly became a global favorite, allowing surfers to drop six inches off their shortboards and revolutionize punting. The Pod Mod design is a heavily modified Pod, designed to be ridden even shorter and wider than the original, catering to the surfer that wants a little more volume forward to catch waves but doesn’t want to sacrifice performance. The tail has been widened for small wave glide, and the original single to double concave has been replaced with a flat entry to concave vee for quick rail to rail transitions. Experienced surfers ride this board 3”- 6” shorter than you are tall.
